ORSOS Floating Island

ORSOS Islands are developing a concept for an easy going, relaxed and personal holiday experience that combines all the positive aspects of mainland real estate and luxury yachts. The Island combines personal atmosphere, nature experience and the mobility of a yacht, with the comfort of a mainland home..

Tourism expert Gábor Orsós, the founder of the company, can look back on years of experience in hospitality, fine cuisine and real estate and would like the  ORSOS Islands  project to offer entirely new possibilities for living space design, highly qualified local experts are at hand, at all times, for the design, construction and maintenance of the Islands in order to ensure the best possible quality standards.

The Island has been especially developed for private use as well as the exclusive hotel industry.
In an extremely comfortable and personal atmosphere guests have the choice of living together or alone.

Orsos is giving wealthy consumers the chance to own a private island — sans the sand, rocks and all customized to each clients personalized requirements. The luxury island shall set buyers back about $4.6 million.

The Orsos floating island offers more than 10,000 square feet of living space and enough rooms to accommodate 12 people, as well as up to four staff members, it is touted as a mix between a yacht and a mainland home incorporating several environmentally friendly features such as solar panels, a noiseless wind energy system and heat recovery from water that serves as “the basis of heating and air conditioning.

The product is still in its prototype stage but extensive information and high quality rendering of the concept are available on the website. The popularity of a floating island has gained momentum from about four years ago with the introduction of “an island-themed megayacht” called Wally Hermes Yacht, which is priced at about $200 million. Similar concepts have also been developed by the Yacht Island Design group with their ‘Streets of Monaco’ concept and the ‘Tropical Island Paradise’ concept
