Delivered in 2013 by Feadship, Madame Gu is slice of superyacht perfection designed by Andrew Winch. The yacht took 4 years to build and was originally launched as M.Y. Dream (see article here), it is rumored to be owned by the Russian Billionaire Andrei Skoch who along with fellow Russian Billionaire Alisher Usmanov are the major shareholders in Metalloinvest – the largest iron ore producers in the world.
The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 24 knots powered by four MTU 20V 4000 73 diesel engines and also features an enclosed helicopter hanger similar to that found on M.Y Ectasea. She has a beam of 13,6m (44’62”) and draught of 4,6m (15’09”), it is Lloyds registered and MCA compliant.
In June 2014 we spotted MADAME GU at anchor in the bay of Cap Ferrat
