Calivigny Island – Caribbean

Calivigny Island – Caribbean

The Caribbean’s newest and most luxurious private island resort, after ten years of painstaking, highly detailed construction, Calivigny now looks forward to welcoming its first guests for a six-star Christmas and New Year holiday. Certainly the most luxurious habitation in the region, this hidden gem of an island, which can only be rented in its entirety, lies just off the southern shore of Grenada, itself an island known as being one of the most welcoming and safe in the Caribbean.

But Calivigny does not merely offer a super-luxurious, 10-suite villa by the sea – it is also the ultimate Caribbean experience that combines relaxed beachside living with elegant superyacht cruising, sport fishing and water sports to standards that equal those found anywhere in the world.

Apart from its quality and high quality personal service, it’s most unique attribute is

Atmosphere, a fully crewed 53-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht that can be chartered in parallel with the island. Docked right outside the Beach House complex, her six staterooms not only increase the island’s guest count to a total of 32, but also give the opportunity for members of the party to really explore Grenada and nearby islands such as St. Vincent and the Grenadines in hedonistic comfort. Atmosphere’s charter, like that of Spherefish, a 86-ft Hatteras sport fisherman, comes as an extra on top of the island’s rental, but included in the price is Lady Laurie, a 44ft Hinckley Talaria picnic boat – a water-jet propelled, carbon-fibre hulled speedster ideal for day excursions to the main island – a Shadow Marine aluminium landing craft highly suited to diving expeditions arranged through the local diving school, and a 27ft Boston Whaler as a safety boat and general runabout, as well as a couple of powerful Jet-Skis. In short, the island’s fleet seems to me to cover every possible need.

    Hi there,

Refreshing to read a review with personal insight on Calivigny as most content on the web seems to be repetitive! As our employees have had the pleasure of visiting Calivigny first hand it’s great to hear a sailing perspective as our minds were focused on the innivative and unique architecture and the lazy, sandy beaches!

Did you enjoy your stay at Calivigny? Would love more info on how you would rate the staff, luxuriousness of the villas etc.

If you are interested in reading more in Calivigny then please visit our (new and still improving) blog at or check out the villas themselves at

Thanks in advance and would appreciate any more feedback you have!
