M.V. Captain

An international businessman, requires a Yacht Captain with a minimum of 15 years experience as a Captain for his Super Yacht based in the Mediterranean.
Currently moored in San Remo this 34 metre yacht requires a Yacht Captain / Skipper with an Engineering background (certification preferred) and strong experience handling a similar size vessel. You will have responsibility for the boat throughout the year and be capable of overseeing renovations and a re-paint in the spring of this year. The boat is an 11 year old Dutch built Motor Yacht with Caterpillar engines that is kept in class with ABS. You will be an exceptional yacht captain who will have captained yachts of a similar length or more, working with similarly prestigious individuals. You may be expected to travel at short notice, while keeping the boat in an extremely well maintained condition, ready for the most discerning of guest. Your track record will show longevity in roles, with an ideal of 10 years based in the Mediterranean. You will be capable of building and managing a high performing and discrete team of 4/5, to ensure that all areas of the boat are spotless and in “show room” condition. In addition you will be expected to establish and operate to a budget, providing full and detailed accounts. It is highly likely that my client will continue to use this boat for the exclusive personal entertainment of his family, friends and non-paying guests, but if you have charter experience, this will be highly beneficial. The captain shall ensure luxury class standards for all guest services with a 5 star dining experience. You will have strong communication skills, exceptional organisational skills (including keeping a stringent log) and be well versed in the unique demands that working for a well respected international businessman bring. You will also take a pride in the vessel that you are responsible for maintaining and presenting her to the highest standards and be capable of hiring a high performing crew
